This book is an absolute must read if you're into fishing speckled trout with a fly rod in south Louisiana
If you fish the Gulf Coast or, saltwater in general, this book is full of great tips and stories to help all fishers when pursuing this great game fish. Like his previous works, I think Pete did a great job in this book.
Wasn't the same old generic fishing advise & tips; more like trip reports (and what techniques the author was using). Covered night fishing too. Not something I would have expected. I love to fish, relocating near the ocean to do more of it, yet find most fishing books bland and, as mentioned, full of generic advise. Is worth the e-price.
If youve never fished for them this is definetly a must to have. Even though the title is Fly Fish for specks the content can be used to fish for them with other methods.
Anyone that fly fishes or wishes to fly fish for specks should read this book. I have been fly fishing for them for several years, and caught my share, can obtain things that will improve their catch to time spent.
